Tommy called into the shop before the All-Ireland Fleadh down in Ennis in August 2016 with this gem in hand.

It had appeared out of the ether from recordings that had been done over two gigs in 2003 and 2005 in Indiana and it displays Tommy at his zenith.

He was pleased with the quality of this music that came from the mists of time.

Tommy Peoples at Fiddler's Hearth

Growing up in the North of Scotland in the 1970s, we were lucky enough to have a very fine local record shop, whose owner would regularly turn up hard-to-find LPs. So when my Dad came home with a Tommy Peoples album, I was young and foolish enough to ask him if it was any good. "It's Tommy Peoples, of course it's good," came the response (that's a redacted version). That advice has stood me in good stead over the years, and this is no exception, an entirely solo performance with the great man in tremendous form. What more do you need to know? It's Tommy Peoples, of course it's good!
