The first time I saw Pádraic play was at the last Corofin Trad Festival before the Covid Fog descended on us.
He was on stage with Aidan Connolly on fiddle and Fergus McGorman on flute. Only then did I realise how high these young musicians had raised the bar and it was a sublime listening experience.
The apple and the tree analogy comes to mind with Tommy, his father, directing him along the early path until the fledgling piper flew the nest .
Such an accomplished maiden solo recording and a long life of piping to come.
