The Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann in 1956 is considered by many to have played a pivotal role in the renaissance of traditional Irish music,song and dance.
This was celebrated in 2006 by a concert in the Comhaltas veune of Cois na hAbhna in Ennis of the living participants of that famous event 50 years ago anf they were joined , in some instances,by two musical generation of their family.
What a rich musical legacy to leave!
