Aidan Connolly has roots in the Sliabh Luachra tradition (as does John Daly evidenced in his cd on the Ossian label from 2003) and is very proud of this history but he is also a willing student of diverse forms of world music and maybe it is this ecclectic outlook which makes him stand out from others.
