Tradition is big in Brid O' Donohue's life, especially with the imparting of music through the generations. Her uncle was the great J. C. Talty, a stalwarth of the famed Tulla Ceili Band and she was the recipient of the gift of traditional Irish music from him.
She in turn has imbued her five children with a passion for this music and the osmosis of heritage continues into the next generation and thus the health of music is ensured.
