A collection of unique tunes of the north east area of Ireland first brought to light in an article written by the Rev. Luke Donnellan in 1909 titled Oriel Songs And Dances which were part of a larger collection of tunes attributed to him and held in the National Folklore Collection of UCD.
Gerry has re-transcribed the Donnellan Collection in a contemporary playing format and thus, The Rose in the Gap.
