Laichtin Naofa Ceili Band

This band based in Miltown in west Clare had its first outing at a Fleadh in Loughrea in 1955 where it was placed a creditable 3rd in the company of the likes of the Tulla and The Kilfenora.

Members included Junior Crehan,J.C. Talty,Martin, Talty,Josie Hayes and Willie Clancy and Michael Falsey joined on their return from England in 1957.

In 1957,after winning The Oireachtas, they were invited to record an album by the New York based, Dublin Record Company.

Eventhough they existed for only 10 years, they have made an indelible imprint on the psyche of Ceili Bands in Co. Clar .
