Liam is a good friend and one of the most intelligent,humourous, witty and musically-accomplished people I know.
This maiden release which had a gestation period of over five years is borne out of the respectful empathy he has for a manifestation of music that was widely practiced in rural Ireland in times gone by where instruments were a scarce commodity and beyond the reach of the ordinary person.
The music within and the desire to perform needed an achievable conduit and thus, the voice was the vehicle through singing, whistling and lilting.
To describe this as a solo album is a major understatement as Liam was the author of every component of this recording from voice to instrument to recording to the Burren orchid photography on the front cover.
