Two local Miltown girls with this beautiful duet flute/fiddle offering just in time to celebrate the 50th year of the Willie Clancy Summer School Festival - the timing, like the tune - impeccable!

Youth in Miltown

I’m really enjoying this recording. The two young women really play. Tunes are somewhat different that the usual fare - good listening. A minor note (but not to me), the balance between the flute and the fiddle allows both to be heard - unlike many other recordings I’ve heard where the fiddle overwhelms the flute. Recommended.

The youth of today...

I'm of an age where everyone under 40 looks alike (OK, under 50) but this has a fresh and distinctive sound, lively but not hectic, and a great selection of tunes. Where are all these great young musicians coming from? Fair enough, Clare's the heartland of the music, but I think you're overdoing it a bit there...
